Has anyone here moved homes across cities during the pandemic? Need some advice. Asking for a friend.

You may get help from someone popping in once a week / month who could help you leading to better signal vs noise 😊 I have moved. Yes. Not during pandemic. Is your question about “unknowns” specifically due to pandemic? Or about the moving? My general tips on moving are: • Get a really good packer & mover. Don’t skimp on this. It can make a difference between having a nightmare of an issue vs having a pleasant one. • If you are moving long distances, it may be worth while to get their insurance as well. Because things break most of the time even under the best circumstances. I had used Agarwal Packers & Movers - the original ones (https://www.agarwalpackers.com/) India is full of 1000s of Agarwal Packers - but these guys were really good. Were expensive by about 20% compared to another company we spoke to but given their ratings, decided to go with these guys and were not disappointed. The wrapped every item and even volunteer to setup the new house. But if you have a specific question about “moving during a pandemic”, what specific information is your friend looking for? How much stuff is he/she moving? Are they moving between states? etc. etc. — may be helpful to get a quick response. Hope this helps! 😊

Wish I could be more specific. @ancient-van-29120 did you face any issues moving during the pandemic that you would not have otherwise? If my friend has any specific questions, I will get back here.

Nope, not really. I also used Agarwals and they were pretty professional with on-time delivery. The move itself of course has more formalities (for yourself, not the furniture), and then a quarantine.
