Amazon Basics Logitech MX Master copy 😉 https://amzn.to/3ni7mhq
Looks solid - except no rechargeable battery and no bluetooth modes. But feel wise and feature wise looks good. And ofcourse 1/5th the cost

very interesting, a lawsuit filed against amazon for doing stuff like this btw - take all data of what works -> build new product -> sell sell ! https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/amazon-eu-antitrust-1.5796672

Amazon Basics is basically first copy of everything popular, knock-offs made in 🇨🇳

Biggest drawback of this is that the buttons are not programmable and the mouse is primary compatible with Windows. Hence, you can’t reconfigure the buttons for Mac (which kind of takes away half its value for Mac users).

Amazon creates products under their own label for anything that sells like hot cakes. Check the entire Solimo range on Amazon India which is more in the consumer goods space. Vedaka, Symbol are a couple of other such brands, apart from Amazon Basics. I am surprised there aren’t more lawsuits.

but most of their's quality are good, some are top notch

Their quality seems to be good for the value - which is what their tagline is anyways. For stuff like USB cables, generic laptop stands, suitcase packing cubes, etc. I am happy to get their stuff. I know it will last. I have recently seen them sell washing machines and air conditioners as well in India - which is something I am not sure I’ll experiment with. I don’t think they care about being premium - they are positioned as reasonable, mid-level stuff - which I feel makes products accessible to the masses. Raises the general standard of living. In the end, there is a market because others are not able to fill this void. But yes, anti competitive in nature.
