I'm tempted to buy 13" M1 MacBook Pro for my primary workstation. Anything I need to know before I take the leap?

A newer 14 inch model may come later this year 😅

Also, there are some developer tools yet to be ported over, so I'd wait until M1X or M2 based Macs arrive. In any case, these Macs are first gen hardware.

If you absolutely need it right now then go for it. You would generate more than enough value from it until the newer model comes out.

If always using at the desk with a monitor, why not mac mini M1?
