Have anyone here paid for truecaller (i.e. using the premium version)? What's your experience been like? Worth it?

No annoying ads is the biggest benefit

it takes all your contacts to the cloud, and present them to your friend circle whom you are close with, that can kill things, it happened to me

It's annoying asking to set true caller as default for sms and calling. I took it twice on a monthly basis later unistalled it

Premium version doesn't offer much in return. It's dialler app is buggy. Keep using it for free version it does the job.

The only reason it exists in my phone is to detect SPAM calls. I don’t think I would ever pay for it to get extra features.

If you have an android device, you can download Google Phone from playstore. It detects spam calls quite well.

Yes, but it doesn't tell you who the caller likely is. Which is why people install TrueCaller in the first place. 😀

I anyway don’t know the person calling me if they are not in my phone directory. Putting a name on it doesn’t help

Truecaller siphons off contact info and your usage activity. I used it years ago on a rooted phone with no access to contacts. These days I don't use it anymore. Unknown numbers get no response 99% of time. It helps that my work doesn't depend on taking many calls.

Also Truecaller gives me mini 2-5 seconds notice whenever someone calls me 😄
