I’ll paraphrase one important argument: “How can you discuss diversity in the company without it being political?” or “How can you discuss fighting the pandemic without it being social?” ; these boundaries are nonsensical. The benchmark for unproductive discussions at work does not need to be different for “social/political” as it is for “technical” topics.
