If I am in the car by myself or family, I usually have just a surgical mask. Prevents fogging of the glasses. If I am going in the midst of people, then double masking. Surgical mask + N95 mask.
I have spent more time than I care to admit researching N95 masks.
1. Venus is a very trusted brand and they have NIOSH certification. Recently bought a bunch from them:

2. Unfortunately, Venus does not do behind the ear N95 masks. They do headbands only. If you want behind the ears, then Promisca is good and has different sizes as well depending on the size of your head:

All N95 masks are quite reasonable. Buy from a reputed brand even though it is slightly more expensive as I see tonnes of cheap chinese crap floating in the market. No idea if they are actually N95.
Expect to pay between 50 - 80 bucks / mask depending on quantity you are buying.
