Folks, how r u juggling ur Corporate Laptop and ur personal laptop? Anyone using KVM switch with dual monitor to solve this problem? Any other suggestion?

I don’t have personal laptop but a personal desktop PC and monitor has multiple video ins, 1 USB 3 upstream and 5 USB 3.0 downstream. So here’s what I did. - Connect both work mac and PC via HDMI/mDP - Connect keyboard, mouse and other peripherals to USB ports in the monitor - have a USB A to USB A cable shared between PC and Mac. When I need to switch, I manually switch the cable connected from PC to Mac and then switch video in from monitor. It takes about 10 seconds to switch and works without issues.

Dell UltraSharp U2515H, it is discontinued but any UltraSharp monitor you buy will have similar ports.

Good KVM switches are expensive. Not worth the investment for 10 second changeover manually if all peripherals are connected to a USB hub.

Also, some wireless peripherals that are connected via USB receiver (read: all logitech mice/keyboards) would get confused if switch happens instantly.

Monitor (benq pd2700q) has a usb hub. I just need to switch hdmi & usb cables from monitor.

I only have company laptop, I know, this is not a good but my personal laptop stuck in Bangalore due to Covid since last March. (I came home for other work and then stuck at home)
