Is it just me or has the slack desktop app gotten ridiculously slow in the last 1 - 2 weeks?

Last year I upgraded from 8GB RAM to 16GB RAM and then slack hogged up all that extra RAM too. It's remarkable how truly bad Slack and Chrome are at managing RAM
