How reliable are the password managers that comes inbuilt in any browser? and, are these passwords stored locally?
Chrome (I wouldn't trust, not using either), Firefox and Brave (not sure, maybe they are reliable?)
m
Why wouldn't you trust?
q
One of my accounts was found in a data breach (https://haveibeenpwned.com/). I have deleted that account, but that made me wonder if these inbuilt managers are reliable or not. These two are different things, but still, you never know 👀

you haven't mentioned why they woudn't be reliable. What's gotten you worried.
unless you enable sync, browser-based password managers store passwords locally, and typically with OS provided Data encryption APIs. For Chrome, you can have password sync protected by another password. In any case, the passwords are not stored in cloud in plain text. usually.

Your last point clears it out for me 🙂 I was unsure whether these passwords are stored locally or on cloud, and since one of my accounts is potentially breached, I wouldn't want to risk saving my password in these inbuilt managers.
