Not a personal story. Just make sure that your friend is aware that the program 'helps' candidates get a job and the candidate is legally bound to pay a part of their salary to pesto for a specific number of years (in exchange for hte free program and placement assistance).
So it seems, the student will 'have' to take a job that comes their way, even if the student may not prefer to join a particular company (for reasons that are not necessarily obvious - culture mismatch, bad work-life balance, other unknown problems on shared in closed circles).
It is a great platform to start a career in tech for those who think they can take up a job that comes their way and adapt, I think these programs rob the person of making an unbiased and completely personal decision.
Although, this may not be for everyone, but I'd prefer to pay for a course and keep my freedom to make a decision.
P.S. Anyone with actual experience that counters my 'guess', I'd be happy to hear from you!
