Have been working remotely for a startup in US for some time. A lot of my meetings happen in the evenings. Didn’t mind it in the lockdown, as I could build my routine around it. As the lockdown as opened up a bit, I have started making plans with my friends to hang, go out, etc. But, it seems to be conflicting a lot with my meetings & work timings. Am I the only one in this boat? 😄

Time to find new friends😅 Not sure about weekdays but for weekends you can inform them and ask to move meeting on Monday or Thursday.
This can be included in their remote work/cultural policy...

I think communication is key. You could set expectations that you are available for only first 2-3 hours of there day for meetings. I have mostly blocked out my Friday evening and I don’t take meetings unless really important. People in US would typically understand this I guess, at least ones I’ve worked with. Also depends on the timezone, eastern is still doable but pacific could hurt.

Yeah, I will bring this up in this week’s retrospective.
