Hey Folks! A little random question. My cousin got his result for his SSC Boards. He plans to go for studying Science in 11th and 12th. He plans to go for engineering. He plans to give state CET exam and not focus much on JEE. He is looking for good coaching institutes in Pune. Does anybody know about good coaching classes for state CET in Pune? It would be great help if someone can provide any good information. Thanks

If he's doing 11th & 12th in Maharashtra board only then attempt for CET via coaching/otherwise. Most of the syllabus of CET is same as that of MH board of 11th & 12th. If his current school is a CBSE one, then he has better chances in JEE (or AIEEE, if that still exists). There used to be also a quota in CET for folks who have AIEEE score - not sure if it's still there. So if one gives AIEEE + CET, then that too improves the chances of getting a better college. My information is more than a decade old, you will want to cross verify with current rules.

I know in pune famous JEE coaching clasess are - Bakliwal tutorials. Aakash CET could be Allen, Chate coaching class , Mahesh Tutorials or Subodh Classes

My relative's daughter completed her SSC from CBSE board and has taken science for 11th and 12th. For coaching, they had two options: Allen or Bakliwal. After taking quite a few session with both the institutions, they went with Bakliwal. Bakliwal has been good so far. They teach thoroughly, so you need to be mentally prepared to absorb the load that one might face. Do note though, that they institutes have tie up with certain schools in Pune, so in terms of managing between school and coaching studies, it becomes easier. Most of the times, you might not need to attend the school classes.
