Anybody here using TP Link MR600 4G router? Thinking of getting one as backup to my fibre connection. I get 25+ (have seen up to 62) Mbps on airtel 4g on my phone (which uses carrier aggregation) - presently have a Huawei B310s for backup but that doesn't have carrier aggregation so 4g speed on that is not more than 15 Mbps.

I'm interested in this as well. Please keep me posted!

Looks like no user here.. this thing commands a premium because of no other alternatives (there are stuff without LTE aggregation at much cheaper price points). Technically it sounds all good, but is it worth 8.5k I'm not sure.

I have a TPlink MR600. Just got it a month back to act as a backup for the ACT connection that I have. I haven;t battle tested it though it does seem to work as it say. I am using a Jio SIM for backup and do get something b/w 10-20Mbps which is decent for a backup solution. I was using the hotspot on a phone earlier however that did not provide coverage to all the devices in the house plus I use ethernet with my main desktop so the router solution seemed better. Also, you can look for the cheaper option in the MR family, the only reason I choose this was for the gigabit ethernet ports otherwise the other options seem all right.

@purple-animal-84963 that's helpful.. the other devices in MR family do not have carrier aggregation
Bought this router and put my airtel sim in it, getting decent speeds. And yes, the band aggregation works. I saw speed of 62 Mbps (same as what I see in my iPhone) today early morning. @wide-carpet-65149

Thank for you sharing. Perhaps I will get this as my next router. I looking for a new place to stay in Sikkim, something long-term now. So will need to get some more equipment.
@wide-twilight-82330 have you compared using the same SIM but with a device which does not have carrier aggregation? Just want to understand if MR100 + external antennae is better investment for me.

@wide-carpet-65149 yes it's the same sim I was using in Huawei B310s which does not have band aggregation, the speed was < 12 Mbps most of the time. The antennae on this MR600 are detachable, adding a high gain external antenna most likely will improve it further. Doesn't always match iPhone speeds even with manual band selection, forced it on B3 and B40, if I put it on other bands - B1/B5 the speed reduces to single digits. A bit of trial and error.

Thanks @wide-twilight-82330, I read about the trial and error part from other comments and videos. Well I guess I will have to deal with this in a couple months once I find my new house here.
