Hey Guys, I want your inputs on the situation below: I am working as a full-time employee, and do some part-time work. However, the part-time work is not constant, i.e., these are short bursts for a week or maybe a month at max and are mostly around mentoring/teaching data science. I am looking for a way that can generate consistent additional income by doing part-time work. I am aware of freelancing and tried my hands there too via Upwork, but haven't had any luck. I wanted to know if there are other ways of generating income on the side by doing part-time work, preferably having gigs which are at least 2 months long.

Training is one thing that comes to mind, as you already do teaching. Most corporate training agencies use freelancer trainers, so it fits well to. Then you could try creating an online course, or write a book. That would be more challenging and more financially rewarding at the same time

Writing a book is a painstaking task (but of course rewarding). Maybe, some way down the line I might write one, but not at the moment. Creating a course. Yes, this is on my todo-list, in the near future. I am planning to use Udemy as a platform to do the same.
Most corporate training agencies use freelancer trainers, so it fits well to.
How can I reach them?

Through communities like this one 🙂 I have friends in the training business. I can check with them and connect you.

I would appreciate it, thank you 🙂

Hey @icy-animal-10265 do you know anyone looking for trainers in web dev/React?

Writing a book has many rewards- money not one of them. I have four books, one being used as Textbook, in University of Oxford for their AI development course, still the royalty turns out a meagre $150 per month.
