Is there any jugad to get my covaxin changed to covidshield on cowin/vaccine certificate?

Couple of things; • People forging their vaccine certificates/RT-PCR reports has led to flight bans from India to several countries. Definitely not a good idea. • CoWin has opened up verification API for public use so good luck not getting caught if you intend to do it. • Covaxin WHO approval is likely happening in first week of October. The thing is I have to travel, and the approval has been "likely soon" from August, looking at it I don't feel they will approve it on October 5. I am not talking about forging it, getting it changed in the database through some political links without faking it? As the government has said they can't give a third shot to someone as this case has been raised earlier too.

Delay in approval is definitely to be blamed on Bharat Biotech and the bureaucracy around the approval process itself. And to be honest some nations are also being a dick around this whole thing (UK making quarantine mandatory even if one has gotten Covishield). I get your frustration around this but there’s nothing you can do except to either wait, or go through quarantine procedures. Because CoWin is under ICMR and Health Ministry, so unless you know Mansukh Mandaviya personally, I don’t see how you can get through this jugad. 🙂

Yea, it's frustrating man, I am on a work permit and have to book my tickets, whose prices are soaring high, that I have to book a month before, now I have to again wait for October 5, and the problems people have to face with non WHO vaccine even after landing are a lot. A student recently moved to Canada had to get pfizer after covaxin to join his physical classes, otherwise they asked him to get tested twice a week. Luckily he got only jab in India. I can't even take covidshield now, so the frustration is killing me.

Where are you going? It's pretty safe to take two more doses of pfizer etc once you reach there? And pfizer is being done in 3 weeks or so between 2 doses.

@damp-coat-97256 Is there any study/article on that? I am going to Canada. As the Indian government once responded to a court case that you can't take covidshield as third dose after 2 covaxin jabs, that can be harmful for the health and there are no studies on 3rd dose.
