Folks who are working remotely for companies outside of India, what do you add as employment status(self-employed or salaried) while applying for credit card? It seems I added self-employed while applying for ICICI credit card via Amazon and they rejected my application.

Self employed. You will need to show ITR as proof of income. Salaried is only if you are actually salaried. In that case you would need to show a Salary slip -- which you won't have.

What should I put on office address? Would GST registration address work?

Companies outside India cannot have employees in India, very few exceptions apply (Nepal, Bhutan etc)

Amazon is notorious for rejecting freelancers/self-employed folks. This has been discussed several times here. Best option is to first get a ICICI cc via other means, use it for a few months while you wait for Amazon application to reset. Once it resets, next time you apply, your current ICICI cc will be automatically detected and you'll get the Amazon Pay card

@miniature-exabyte-51670 You can get one against an FD. That is an instant CC. Otherwise their free Platinum card is easy to get as well
