Someone help me understand this..... The

Roboto Mono

font does not support Sinhala language. Yet, I'm able to use that font to display Sinhala text in an html page. How is this possible?

Maybe the browser switched to a fallback font?

There's a browser extension called

WhatFont

that you can use to check, also, Monospaced fonts are less likely to support UNICODE characters.

Found the answer! The browser extension displays the fallback font details. You cannot trust

font-family

in the "f12 tools -> computed" tab 😂
