I have one question related to SMTP and IMAP. I am using sendinblue for SMTP server and instead of buying new IMAP server can I configure my personal gmail with custom domain? (which will work as IMAP for my custom domain)

Might be slightly ot, but if you just want emails with your custom domain (for free) You could also use https://improvmx.com/

IMAP is just a protocol to view your emails. It’s like HTTP for emails. I don’t clearly get where would you store your emails in this scenario? Personal gmail? I’m not sure how you would configure that.

IMAP for retrieving emails, SMTP for sending. You can point to gmail as a SMTP relay, but your goal to use a custom domain with gmail won't work. gmail doesn't support. That's where Google workspaces comes in

Normal Gmail supports a Send-as/alias address that can be used in sync with ImprovMX You don’t really need to pay for Google Workspaces just for a custom email
