Did anyone travel to US recently from India? Is RAT test fine for pre departure or were you asked for RT-PCR? (the guidelines say RAT is fine, but wanted to confirm if that is also practiced here)

Only while checking in our luggage in India - the staff asked for the test. • We had done a RT-PCR test to be on the safer side. • It will be best if you call your airline and ask them once.

Traveled in March end. Test is mandatory. I did RTPCR to be on the safe side. Was checked (paper only, no additional validation of QR code on the report) by airlines staff at boarding, both origin and connecting flight.

I called the airline (JAL). They said they only accept RTPCR.

If you request the service provider on sample collection - that you need it for international travel - they make sure to send you the report on time. Also to be on the extra safer side - you can give sample to two different brands - so that at least will come though on time.
