I need to get a used 27 inch monitor shipped from Bangalore to Ahmedabad, anyone know good courier services that provide door-to-door pickup and drop?
q
Used Delhivery Direct couple of times, provided good service https://www.delhivery.com/direct/app/

On the same boat. Vetting options to bring my monitor back from hometown. @quiet-fountain-69039 — did you send a monitor through Delhivery? How did you pack the box? Do they insure the package, since the monitor would usually be a high value shipment.
q
I have only sent small electronic items like keyboards and mouse to friends, I keep original packaging boxes so use them for shipping. They have option to declare value of shipment and based on that they provide insurance
s
IIRC delhivery direct allows maximum package of 10kgs

Lesson learnt: Never send a monitor via Delhivery. I have sent an email for claiming the insurance but I doubt they’ll do anything. Their terms are very strict.
g
@mysterious-laptop-18288 yikes! that’s horrible. Did Delhivery mention the insurance terms before you shipped it? In their T&C, they mention they can’t carry LCDs, LEDs etc.
m
Those T&C are for delhivery express I believe, this was a different one. But no they didn’t mention anything before shipping it.
g
From the link that you shared, the terms don’t mention Delhivery Express in the prohibitions or maybe I am missing something.

I might have misunderstood then. Even so, they should’ve decline the shipment which would’ve cost me loss of < 2K instead of > 30K INR.
