I temporarily deactivated my Instagram a month ago, now when I am trying to log back in, it lets me reach the 2FA screen but fails with a try later error after I enter the code. Been a week, their support email as expected feels dead. Any ideas what can I do?

Oh boy! Infinite recursion. You're in for some trouble. This bug has been present since more than 5 years and they haven't fixed it. Try to send a code to your phone number instead of using the code from your 2FA app. That worked for me on some occassions.

Login via PC. Try to use SMS verification code if 2FA code fails.
