There is Insomnia I am not sure about it's electron status. It was not bad to use. Postman feels quite bloated now.

Insomnia is electron 😬

Curl + Jq šŸ˜›

there’s httpie too for cli but it gets complex to manage while checking multiple endpoints
postman is bloated to a point where it becomes unusuable when i’ve to use multiple tabs
cocoa rest client seems pretty snappy w multiple tabs. i’ll give insomnia a try too irrespective of electron and see how it goes.

Thunder client extension in VS Code. Works like charm. ✨

lol only one first message’s suggestion are ā€œnon-electronā€. This is a proxy to know how much JS has taken over the app development.

I’m a frontend engineer and I despise existence of Electron! It is an abomination that shouldn’t exist! VS Code is only acceptable Electron implementation but then MS has done a lot of work to make it performant.

@wonderful-greece-5807 emacs is non-electron
w
Haha yes, I agree. Native app development is now becoming niche imo. The only electron app I like is VSCode, it is the only one that I found to be engineered really well.
@clever-advantage-29037 I know, but it’s only for already emacs users. It bubbles up the complexity. šŸ˜„

I generally blame Electron’s existence (and lack of native app development) on Sublime Text, as that editor in pre-2015 caused the situations that led to creation of Electron.

i see the trend reversing now for good with most of the new products coming as native instead of electron
