hey guys I am looking for recommendations for a wireless charger that suits apple devices. from what i have heard, most wireless chargers aren't as efficient at charging as wired chargers and they just provide some convenience. do you guys have any personal experience using them? thanks.

Yes, wireless chargers are much slower and inefficient compared to wired one. Only benefit is you can just keep it on your desk without fiddling with the plug. Magsafe chargers can be picked up with the phone (this can be a benefit or a hinderance depending on your view).

AFAIK, NO wireless chargers are efficient as wired ones.

The expensive answer: I use a Magsafe "puck" sitting inside a Spigen "dock" and I cannot explain how awesomely convenient and fast it is. Things I love: 1. Place and pick with one hand, aligns perfectly. Through the case. 2. Fast charging at 15W is amazing. And the thermal management is awesome, so never seen the phone heat up. 3. Can unlock phone by glancing, almost no need for passkey. This should be better with landscape Face ID in iOS 16. 4. Can watch a movie or take a video call in portrait or landscape. 5. Can charge my Airpods Pro on them as well. 6. "Saves" my lightning port, which unfortunately has degraded (loose connection) for most iPhones I have known, after a few years. Things I don't like: 1. It's expensive. You will need a 20W USB-PD charger, I use the Belkin dual-USB-C 40W charger - which is better if you have multiple USB-C fast-charge devices. 2. It is not part of my travel setup - too complicated and I have the fear that the magnets will not "hold" my phone if I drop it or something - probably just personal. Here is a picture of my setup, sitting between my keyboard and monitor.
