[Sale-Query] Looking to get a 50inch TV. First time TV buyer. On Budget. So considering Redmi, Mi, OnePlus, Acer etc. Few questions: 1. Any bad service reputation among above brands? 2. Does 20W vs 30W speaker matter for small houses? 3. 8GB vs 16GB of storage space matters? 4. Any atrocious software experience? Primary usage is YT, Netflix, Hotstar, Prime and rare instance of laptop hdmi connect. 5. Any strong recommendations?

bought MI TV in june. working fine till now. I was scared to buy a 55 inch TV first, since I'm living in a small flat. But once the TV was installed I felt that I should have bought a bigger one. 5. I would recommend MI, cheapest one with great specs.

@loud-artist-61521 Haven't purchased a TV for the last 10 years now (I own a Panasonic Plasma 50" from back in 2011). However, at that price point, you can mostly rule out any "service" if stuff goes bad. Beyond getting a bad TV on delivery. If stuff goes wrong and it is trivial, Urban Clap folks might be able to fix it. The other alternative is to get coverage via someone like OneAssist at the time of purchase.

Makes sense. I will get 1/2 year additional warranty. Panasonic Plasma is a great TV. In hometown our first TV (Onida) was bought in 1993 and lasted till 2014. Survived a full front fall when I was 3 years old. Second TV from Sony lasted 3 years. Now on a Panasonic for last 4. Let’s see how long this last.s

If you already have a decent TV then you can use a Raspberry Pi to convert it to Smart TV. I've heard that a lot of Smart TVs use terrible processors that slow down to a grinding halt with 2-3 years. Not sure how true that is. Beebom also has a video covering some issues with Android TVs.

No TV at my place in Blr. Have it at my parents. I guess if it slows down terribly will give it as a hand me down to someone else in family.
