Can such monitors be connected to your laptop for day-to-day work?
k
@glamorous-wolf-66966 yes, directly connects to mac and also charges it at the same time.
g
What about Dell lol?
k
what about it?
g
I mean does it only work w apple laptops or dell/other laptops too?
k
works with any device, has usb c, dp, hdmi.
m
it supports USB-C connections, as long as you have USB C it'll work, I guess.
g
okay great, thanks!
s
Isn’t it too expensive , just for the extra monitor arm ? you can get a LG 4k monitor for 27k-30K and a monitor arm for around 5k
k
@salmon-processor-35222 Doubt you'll get anything decent in that range for a 32inch 4k monitor. My previous monitor costed about 36k for a 27inch 4k monitor. Had limited connectivity options but a brilliant display panel. This one has both.
s
my CTO uses this and loves it!

Ok I thought you are looking for 27inch For 32 inch 4k price seems justifiable.
Wouldn't 32 inch monitor be too big You can also look at 34inch ultrawide

other alternatives worth considering?
for work, i generally use and recommend 2 monitors of lesser size than the 1 monitor that one needs. Ideally ones that can be rotated left/right by 90-degrees. Only problem with such setups is they are not ideal for gaming.
i don't have a snap of my current setup handy. Here's one from the past when i used to squeeze-in a laptop-display in the middle of the 2 displays for good measure 🀣 (...and used it in a slide-deck i presented)

I am using 27inch version of this monitor (Ergo) which has 2.5k pixels. I love single cable setup and it allows me to connect mouse at the back. However, charging sometimes is not sufficient and Mac refuses to recognize charging from monitor. I have to use normal charger to get it to sufficient level and then it starts working again.
k
@chilly-rocket-77832 I'm not a programmer or a gamer. One large screen is sufficient for me.
@magnificent-book-60657 are you using the 15/16inch macbook?
those need 96watts
m
16inch.

k
I have the 13 inch and needs 60 watts, which is exactly what the monitor delivers.
f
You can also get the 34inch LG Ultrawide under 50k.
k
Don't want ultrawide. I prefer 16:10 or close to it.
b
There is a new 27inch version of Ergo model available now. 27UN880

@boundless-action-15334 hey thanks. I wanted a larger screen so went with the 32.
g
Guys, how's this one? https://www.amazon.in/dp/B09Y5FMCLK/ Any good options under 30k?
f
FHD (1920 x 1080) for anything above 24inch monitor is a big No. Atleast 2k is needed for 27inch and beyond.
