Any chance it can be moved to Saturday? I think it will allow more people to join.

I can definitely take the initiative to host in the future (would love for it to become a monthly thing) but I agree with the day/time suggestions

I think weekends (&amp; evenings) would work better

The space is booked folks, the venue is set for Tamasha cafe in Connaught Place, New Delhi.
Date: 14th May, Saturday.
Time: 1 pm IST

We have 20 people registered. Please make sure to mark the RSVP only if you are coming. The seating is limited and I am following the 50% meetup rule (Only 50% of the RSVP people show up to meetups). So, please mark your RSVP accurately.

It's highly unlikely everyone's gonna show up. I have organized my fair share of meetups, still wanted to ask if I should put an upper cap to the event.

<@U010H3M30BE> In my case it was around 16 and 13 showed up IIRC. Some RSVPs bought friends to the meetup too, though I guess that is a Bangalore thing.

With a Delhi meetup, given that many RSVPs might be living far away in NCR regions, and meeting is at afternoon time when the heat is at peak, many may not show up. Or they might given it would be the first meet-up for many in a long time. :smiley:

Regarding upper cap, I am not sure how many more you are expecting (that depends on what marketing remains to be done for the event). But if an upper cap makes you feel more comfortable, go ahead with it.

Thanks for your take <@UG5R3SU66> I had a chat with the venue and they can accommodate only 30 people. I have edited the Luma email to ask people to confirm their attendance. So hopefully people will cancel if they are not coming. But even if they come. I think it will be fine. Will think of something on the spot. It will be hot indeed.

The Luma event still shows that event is happening.

But, I didn't get the calendar invite so I could RSVP.

<@U03EB5DKQ5V> The luma event is the RSVP, if you are not coming then cancel the registration. You can see the link there in the bottom. Calendar events are the reminder Luma creates and I don't see those responses.

Hey folks, thanks for making this meetup successful. It was amazing to see you all even though the heat was just unbearable today. I hope everyone atleast felt nice meeting some strangers again at an offline meetup again that isn't just about tech. This was and let's keep doing more of these. We can do a pop-up meet and try out new spots. Maybe more folks can join then. The bill was 11666 and we used dineout offer to pay - final paid was 9058. Splitting among 13 people (15 people were at the meetup - excluding 2) comes out to be 697 each.

There was a miscalculation in the split - 3 more people are excluded - they came at the end so not including in the split. So splitting 10 ways now.

Hey folks, Please suggest some OG non-veg places in Delhi. I have a stopover in Delhi for 2 hours and will be further travelling to sarai rohilla station from igi t3. 
I have gone to Karim’s a decade back and it was worth waiting in queue for 1.5 hours. However, I have heard it has lost it’s charm.
It would be awesome if you folks can suggest some good places open between 3-5 pm around metro lines. 

I've heard the non-veg food around Jama Masjid is pretty good

Al-Jawahar is one! Their nihari is TOPPPPP.

It’s in the same area as Karim’s. It is named after Jawaharlal Nehru since he inaugurated that restaurant pre Independence!

If you are willing to go to CP, Kake da Hotel and National Restaurant are also v good.
