Looks like the *Getting Started *wiki page is the placeholder for this. I was thinking of adding to the above getting-started wiki page, a brief description of how this slack workspace is organised including channels to join and where to introduce oneself, ask topical-Qs etc.

How we make decisions With over 1000 people on the server it’s important we define a process for how we make decisions as a group. Taking inspiration from this Bankless DAO post 13, proposing the following approach to communication and decision making:

Conversations → brainstorming → proposals → consensus → execution

Conversations: Discord, (text/voice/video chats) Brainstorming: Discord (Text/voice/video chats), Discourse (general) Proposals: Discourse (Proposals) using this template once finalised Execution: Discord (text/voice/video), GitHub, Trello? These general rules should make it easier for us to organise conversation and make decisions. Not everything needs a proposal. The majority of things should not require much consensus at all so as not to slow the community down. For example, suggesting a new topic in “Technical Discussion” or spinning up a new project channel in “Projects” should require a simple post with some support in discord. Decisions that impact that wider community can be broken down into two categories: “soft consensus” and “hard consensus”. Soft consensus includes anything that requires some community support to get moving (i.e. idea for regular events, detailed project proposal seeking support). Should be well documented using the template above and shared to discourse seeking feedback/support. Hard consensus would be anything that requires broad community consensus to implement/change or affects governance/funding/treasury etc… These would require a snapshot vote (currently by NFT holders, in the future $DBUCKs). Hi all - Wrt the wellness survey, attaching the result here (screenshots). Here are the insights: - Focus better & avoiding distractions (68%), better life routine for wellness (64%), and overcome stress and anxiety (56%) are the top 3 issues people are looking for help with - Hobby circles (58%), 1:1 counseling sessions (49%), support circles for listening/discussion (40%) and meditation practice (39%) are the top 4 ways people think they can be helped with - The first two (above) are difficult to execute at a scale for RI right away, but we can ideate on hobby circles to an extent. - As the 1st step, we can pilot with hosting weekly/bi-weekly sessions on meditation (including introduction, short experience, Q&A) to get people started with regular practice. This is something I am already driving in a personal capacity and it will start helping people learn to become calm, stress-free, and focused. - As the 2nd step, we can start hosting pseudonymous/anonymous listening sessions or discussion topics around specific aspects of wellness (mindfulness, distractions, routine, happiness, stress etc). Listening sessions can be particularly cathartic for people if we can get them to open up on their life experiences. Will help in building the community as well. @calm-grass-85557 and others - please let me know your thoughts. Connected briefly with @polite-secretary-64403 on this. If we want, we can maybe take a couple of days to decide, and then I can plan the next steps?
