good point https://www.puppet.com/docs/bolt/latest/bolt_transports_reference.html is probably what it should have linked but doesn't highlight the option to use plugin like you have, I have raised a doc ticket on both points https://perforce.atlassian.net/browse/PUPDOC-5611 (sorry I know this is an internal ticket)
