Basically anything where you might run a script across multiple servers... patching, data gathering, log rotation.

My favourite example is a Kafka cluster upgrade. It’s sequence of steps which should be done in specific order. E.g. 1) find the cluster coordinator node (to upgrade it in last order), 2) ensure there are no underreplicated partitions, 3) upgrade and reboot a node, 4) do 2 & 3 on all cluster nodes (except coordinator one), 5) upgrade the coordinator node. All this can be scripted as a bolt plan.
