to clarify when you say full fact set do you mean if giving you all of $facts

yea, just like if I'd run "sudo facter -p" from the command line, was getting a full list of packages (I've enabled collection of that), and all other facts. I'm not sure what the culprit here was, ended up removing and re-adding later and only got the single desired fact.
