Can anyone explain to me why, when I'm doing module development, the LSP expects host class definitions when none may exist in a module? I'm not building out a node definition, but a module for use in node definitions

Yet another ‘it’d be nice to have’… it’d be nice to have a snippets (if I name it right) which can pre-parse an epp() call and prefill all the keys from the EPP header.. I’ll try to explain better in a thread 🧵

FR#3: It’d be nice to have some Hiera lookup helper built-in into the VSCode extension. So I can preset a JSON with facts/trusted/global vars, then enter a key name and see the explained output in a nice UI 🙂

@Yury Bushmelev these are all good ideas and in my microsoft lists view now (I use it as a pre jira so I don't lose track of things that I can't commit to yet)

yet another crazy idea: puppet “copilot” trained on the Forge modules code, Puppet docs and slack history 🙂 I bet CodeLlama is good enough as a starting point

anyone on Windows have a good Ruby extension as all appear to be deprecating in favor of Ruby-LSP which we can't get running on windows/doesn't appear to even support windows? okay with losing auto format but now syntax helper I use is deprecated.

has anyone every had vscode generate node graph on save. I did something and now every time I save a file, it tries to generate a puppet node graph?

Trying to get VSCode Puppet extension to work with puppet-editor-services on remote linux hosts. I've gotten the language server to work, and can pull in facts from the linux server it is running on. Every time I try to use the Run & Debug in VSCode though, it just spins. Is what I'm trying possible and I've just missed something?
