Puppet Core 8.13.1 Release Announcement We’re pleased to announce the release of Puppet Core 8.13.1. This release addresses a critical compatibility issue introduced in earlier versions that affected DSC providers used by Security Compliance Enforcement for Windows. What's Fixed Puppet Core 8.12.0 and 8.13.0 included the puppet-resource_api gem version 2.0. While this update introduced some improvements, it also inadvertently broke support for auto-generated DSC providers, specifically impacting the dsc_securityoption type used to enforce CIS controls in Security Compliance Enforcement for Windows. To resolve this, Puppet Core 8.13.1 reverts to puppet-resource_api 1.9.0, restoring expected behaviour and compatibility.
