is there any movement on puppet agent on more / updated version arm64 platforms

Debian 11 and Ubuntu 22.04 ARM agents on are the roadmap for later this year.

I know it's sunday, but I'm doing a little research and could use someone to check my logic, as I'm not sure if I have a facter bug

I'm testing some automation using a pi zero w (not pi zero 2w) the raspberry foundation documentation shows this as armv6, and as such their raspberrypi IO kernel shows Linux mother 6.1.21+ #1642 Mon Apr 3 171914 BST 2023 armv6l GNU/Linux which seems right, armv6l aligns to v6 architecture

however, I found that my prometheus automation was downloading the armv7 binary for node exporter, node_exporter: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, ARM, EABI5 version 1 (SYSV), statically linked, Go BuildID=iYDhP4GYZ8QnU90jNRxi/SVm9Qrn2QXOJRxIjHfT3/eoMJ126OYNN_oKvEkttC/HFB5QSocoVLt0Mk3ZN5n, with debug_info, not stripped

I looked in the class and found it correctly identified armv6 and armv7 downloads, I worked backwards to see why it was downloading armv7 binary when the class had the correct case statement for armv6 and found 'facter os.architecture' was correctly reporting $facts['os']['architecture'] = armv6

however if I just do 'facter os' I get architecture => "armv7l",

I'm assuming at this point that is why the armv7 binary is being downloaded, but why would facter os.arhitecture show armv6, but facter os list armv7

same with facter os.hardware shows armv6 yet facter os shows armv7 for the hardware

just typing it out helped, I may have just found the problem, apologies

Q4 end is fast approaching, is there anyway I / we could get an update as to what is happening with the puppet arm builds for modern/recent distros ? which releases will be supported, what versions of puppet are being released, what versions of the distros are supported, is there a target release date, is it a big bang, or will distros/versions become available as trickle etc

but there were some recent releases for ARM64 EL9 builds I think

doesn't seem unreasonable

(but I do know the history of not having targets)

at the moment I don't have even any idea of what releases/versions are being targeted for release
