I don't think Bren's been active in the puppet community for a few years now, but many of us know him from PuppetConf and irc and this slack. I just learned he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I think his employer set up a go fund me but I don't have that link, I'll post it later when I verify it, if anyone is interested in that. Anyone who uses Home Assistant please fill out their community survey and share it with others. They are trying to better understand who uses and interacts with HA so they can better support the user base. Since they are not doing crazy invasive things that commercial platforms do, they don't have a lot of this info and have to rely on it being provided via surveys and such. https://home-assistant.typeform.com/communitysurvey
