I’m a bit desperate regarding prisma right now... I’m totally lost with the docs, and under the impression that a lot of things are broken and undocumented 😞 Am I the only one ? I was not able to set up a graphql server set up like it was before prisma-client. Is there any step by step and up to date tutorial somewhere ?

Why don’t you keep using prisma-binding? It is not deprecated. Too bad that all the examples/docs are being updated to Prisma Client instead, but the old docs are still there. You can switch to the Client if you want once it’s more matured and has better docs

I’m sorry about the confusion @Jidé! We’re currently actively working on improving the docs. It would be great if you could open issues here for the docs problems you’re running into: https://github.com/prisma/prisma-content-feedback This will help us to address it more quickly! 🙏

@Fran Dios Actually I do want to keep using prisma binding, but it’s not as easy as it was using the deprecated react full boilerplate. Some API changes make it hard to understand exactly what to do, plus some bugs (https://github.com/prisma/prisma/issues/3215) in the path. But I made progress and finally managed to have an instance up and running.
@schickling I know you’re working hard on this, I’ll help on the issues I’ve encountered in the docs. More generally, I found it hard to follow a simple path to using prisma binding with current docs. I hope there will be a step by step and detailed explanation there soon 😉

@schickling I’ve created an issue with broken links in docs here https://github.com/prisma/prisma-content-feedback/issues/5. Hope it’s useful !

Thanks so much! @nikolasburk will look into it!

Im also really confused about prisma being rebuilt and restarted every year, why is prisma-binding being phased out so quickly?

Hey everyone, sorry for the confusion! We're aware that the documentation currently lacks proper examples and step-by-step tutorials for creating GraphQL servers, we'll change that soon!
@Jidé thanks a lot for your feedback and collecting broken links, we're looking into it!

@albinekb Again, sorry for the confusion. It's clearly on us that we didn't properly communicate the the plans for Prisma client and Prisma bindings. I wrote a forum post on that topic last week, hope that helps! 🙂 https://www.prisma.io/forum/t/help-understanding-prisma-clients-value-proposition/4394/17?u=nikolas
