again thank you for your help @ejoebstl. But, dont you think it is cumbersome to maintain both dockercompose and cloudformation files and ensure that they are as identical as possible?

Depends on how much infrastructure you have to duplicate. A Database + Prisma alone with the environment and port bindings is a very small dockerfile. Aside from that, you would not use the same config for testing and deployment, even when using docker-compose?

you are right (I guess; im not a devops engineer :-)). I real production environment is always more complex than your local environment.
