i was hoping there was a better solution at this point

And that does not completely work for me.

Because i am trying to update the element by using `connect`, if i were to try to use `update` there is  no way to change the id.

Just tried that solution and it still did not show it in the list of updatedFields

Added more details to my question on the forums
