Very noobish question but I followed the steps on the 'Get Started' guide on the website to setup Prisma for mongodb. I can change the datamodel and use the Playground to read and update data but where is the actual database? Can i not go a view the data? I know you can do this with a Demo Database via Prisma Cloud but cant see a way when creating a new database

Hi! I’m not sure if it’s the same setup for MongoDB, but I just made it so I could access my local prisma database (postrges) using a client like Postico. I had to makes some changes to my docker-compose.yml
Copy code
version: '3'
services:
    prisma:
        ...
    postgres:
        image: postgres:10.5
ports: <---- I added this part
            - "5432:5432"
        restart: always
        environment:
          POSTGRES_USER: prisma
          POSTGRES_PASSWORD: prisma
        volumes:
          - postgres:/var/lib/postgresql/data
Then i was able to access the database in docker via localhost:5432 with user:
prisma
, password:
prisma
, database:
prisma
Maybe you can do something similar with mongoDB
d
if it is local, you can access the data like every mongo.. start terminal and run: 1. mongo 2. use admin 3. db.auth("prisma", "prisma") 4. show dbs 5. use <db you like to read> 6. show collections
you can read all data there

Thanks, got it working now! 🙂
