Just saw the new version 3.3.0, this is huge! 🔥 Love what you did with the Proxy and Prisma available within Cloudflare Workers, this might change a lot. Are there any limitations of the proxy when it’s production ready? Will it be a paid service?

Hi. Happy to fill in some details here, with the Large caveat that some of this might still evolve. Once the Data Proxy is in General Availability, the idea is to have a service that scales with your demand, to match the model that platforms like CFW support. A free tier is to remain in some shape or form, with some limits.

Hey Tobias 👋, Regarding pricing, the Data Proxy is provided for free during Early Access. We will use this period to learn about usage and tweak the pricing model. When the Prisma Data Platform is launched in General Availability, there will continue to be a generous forever free tier for the Data Proxy alongside paid options.

Hey Victor, We still don’t have any concrete information regarding the pricing model. Do you have any estimate on the amount of traffic?

I can't say in terms of calls/requests. But I don't see our product having more than 5k MAU and more than 50 concurrent users anytime soon.

Hi. That estimate is useful, and I’d expect your workload to be still accessibly priced ( if not free ). As we’re working out the exact pricing structure, it’s about finding a model that works for our users, and matches their product. That’s the business side of things. From an engineering side of things, I’d say that if you are already paying for your infrastructure/FaaS, databases, metrics, etc., you should be able to include the Data Platform.
