It doesn't seem like my Algolia integration is syncing properly.
n
@wallslide hey, what's the observed behaviour instead?
w
No data is being updated in my algolia index
I create a new node, and it didn't show up
n
how is your index defined?
w
It was working before
What do you mean by how is it defined?
n
did you recently rename or delete a field?
w
I have an Event model, and there is an index called "EventSearch"
n
I mean the GraphQL query that's used to define the index, can you post it?
w
Copy code
{
    node (filter:{
      status:RECRUITING_PARTICIPANTS
    }) {
      id,
      additionalNotes,
      amenities,
      eventDateTime
      eventDateTimeUnix,
      eventDurationMinutes,
      facilityUrl,
      indoorOutdoor,
      _geoloc: location{
        lat,
        lng
      },
      locationName,
      maxTeams,
      maxIndividuals,
      status,
      surfaceType,
      teamParticipationFee,
      individualParticipationFee,
      hasTeamParticipation,
      hasIndividualParticipation,
      teamSignups,
      individualSignups,
      title
    }
  }
When it wasn't working, I added a field to try to resync all (7) of my nodes
and that new field didn't seem to show up in Algolia yet either
n
is that field part of your index?
w
I don't think you have to specify what fields are in an index in algolia for them to show up
just if you intend to search on them in certain ways
n
is that field part of the GraphQL query you just sent*?
w
yes
maxIndividuals
n
ok, could you try updating a node by changing a field value in the data browser?
w
sure
still hasn't show up in algolia's dashboard
n
does it match
status:RECRUITING_PARTICIPANTS
?
w
yes
it shows up in the playground when I do this query:
Copy code
query{
    allEvents (filter:{
      status:RECRUITING_PARTICIPANTS
    }) {
      id,
      title
    }
  }
n
and the sync also doesn't work when you create a new node that has
status:RECRUITING_PARTICIPANTS
, right?
w
correct
n
could you send me your project endpoint then we can investigate further
how many nodes do you have in the index?
w
6
well, there should be 7, but there are only 6 showing up in algolia
n
could you try to delete the index (both GC and Algolia), and create a new one again?
w
sure
it doesn't seem to be sending data to algolia
n
ok. thanks, will take a closer look!
w
thanks!
