Thanks for the invite.
Is there a way to connect graph.cool to an existing API or say MySQL server?

@dvenske hi there! 👋 unfortunately, currently this isn’t possible 😕 what you could do is write a script to sync your data with Graphcool and read it from there. obviously, this gets tricky with writing data back, so definitely realize this is a limited solution
if you wouldn’t mind, could you also provide a brief description of what you are trying to do in the issue so that we can better understand it? Thank you! 🙂

Sure thing. The main use case I have is for adopting GraphQL in an existing system. It's actually what makes GraphQL so great because it's easy to slip it in with existing architecture if you run your own GraphQL server. I'd imagine this would be a big selling point to attract developers so that they can start using graph.cool without needing to start a new project on it.
The sync could work but I think it would end up introducing more work and risk for me so for right now I'll just use GraphQL for parts of the data. I have a small amount of my system tied to firebase and so could move that initially.

yes, definitely, an easy way to plug an existing API into Graphcool would be a great way to try it out.

it’s definitely on our radar but, for now, I cannot make any time commitments, unfortunately.
