I’m trying to follow the tutorial here: <https://www.graph.cool/docs/tutorials/create-react-apps-with-apollo-client-aidae4aeg5/> but when I run `yarn start` I keep getting an error that `this.props.data...` is undefined.

<@U5BGMU3B7> what exactly is the exception. is it something like `this.props.data.foo is undefined`?

The latter. I get that as a console error in the browser when I run `yarn start`.

the most common issue ive seen around this is that the `loading` property on `this.props.data` is not checked

if the loading property is true, then the results of the query on that data property dont exist yet

<@U0RQY0KK5> I don’t think there was anything wrong with the article - just me skipping over the “loading” part of the example code.

But still might be good to call that out separately, since if you forget that loading check nothing works!
