I'm trying to log a user in from the server. I'm using a permanent auth token to give myself permissions to grab the user information that I need, the email and password. How can I get the JWT? The password is hashed and so when I try to log the user in with it it fails

@lastmjs currently there's no way to "login" as another user. However, the PAT allows you access to any query/mutation, is that not enough for your use case?

I would really like to get the JWT with the PAT. We're trying to login our user automatically from another authentication system, LTI if you've heard of it (edtech).

It would be really nice to somehow grab the JWT and just pass it up to the client

A couple ideas are a stand-alone query to get a user JWT with a PAT, or perhaps a query that allows you to unhash a password...not sure the security implications of that

for that query that returns the JWT of any user, do you think the user id would be a good input?

Yes, that would be excellent

Do you have any timeline on when this might be implemented? I just want to know how much time I should put into a workaround, or if I can afford to wait
