has anyone tried the new atom release? how does it compare to vscode?
a
I very much prefer Atom over VS Code, and that's coming from something who has done .NET development using Visual Studio for 15 years...

@agartha yea I'm using Atom now, was just about to give VS code a try but now Atom has just released this new major version
also going to switch to ReasonML soon.. wondering which editor is going to be the best for syntax highlighting, auto-linting/styling, and more importantly auto-complete and type checking in the editor
a
I have briefly looked a ReasonML,, there is a Reason plugin for Atom as well. Didn't notice this 'major release' though, it just auto-updates...

I've heard spacemacs works pretty well for functional languages. But it's really hard to switch when you are used to editing in a different style. But I try to use spacemacs in my free time.
It looks like atom ide is similar idea to nuclide.
I tried nuclide a year ago and it was really slow and buggy.
a
Nuclide is actually built on top of Atom
d
Yes, in the same way as atom ide.
