Anyone getting a bunch of timeouts from simple api right now. We have a big event going on with a bunch of users and the app is barely useable.
s
Yes, same problem here as well. 🙁
m
I really regret going with Graphcool at this point. It has been so unstable.

I'm getting timeouts as well. I'm interested in hearing more about your perspective. My company is looking to switch serverless backends and Im experiencing some very unattractive difficulties early on.

Using their hosted service has been a very bad experience for us. No transparency from the console on server health, very hard to get support to respond. Development was good and the system they’ve built is cool but in production it has had major issues.
t
Same here. Need to get off Graph.Cool hosted as I have monitors and it goes down multiple times every day and this evening has been constant outage up and down and their status page says all is good. Crazy.
m
I wonder if Prisma cloud will have the same issues.
t
I was thinking about moving Prisma as well, but I am a bit concerned of the service quality there as well.
s
Graphcool is straight up not usable for production apps
I've had simple api problems every single day, and the support isnt good either
t
I’m having the same issue. ☹️

Has anyone tried putting Prisma on Digital Ocean?

Hey there, I can confirm intermittent connectivity issues for the duration of about an hour around 4am CET. We've investigated the situation and will improve our system to prevent similar incidents in the future. Stability and performance improvements to Graphcool Cloud is one of our top priorities right now and we're aiming to significantly improve your experience here. To answer your questions about Prisma: Focusing on the query engine with Prisma has allowed us to design a massively improved architecture, and due to advanced scaling mechanisms, we're able to deliver a stable & reliable service with Prisma.

Yeah, thanks. I read that, I'm not at the point yet where I need it. I'm interested in hearing how it goes for other people.
I hope you get some time off on the weekend Nilan! 🙂

I recommend to try again in the main thread, and in the Forum: https://www.graph.cool/forum/ 🙂 There are several discussions in the Forum about Digital Ocean deployments already.

Ah ok, I'll have to check it out. I'm not in the habit of keeping that open.

The lack of transparency is brutal. We had a couple microservices handled with Serverless but were looking to handle group-related database functions with Graphcool. Looks like we're going to pivot to full Serverless architecture. Keep me posted if you guys figure anything out
