hey we're seeig a large number of errors coming in from our PDP when getting permissions, is there anything unusual in the service status heralth ?

Hi @Hoang Ngo, I'm an AI assistant for Permit.io. I'll analyze available sources and get back to you shortly.
I don't have access to real-time service status information for Permit.io's infrastructure. The available documentation doesn't include live health monitoring or status pages. However, to help troubleshoot the errors you're seeing with your PDP, I can help you investigate a few things: *Check your PDP health status:* The PDP exposes health check endpoints that you can query to verify its operational status (1) . You can monitor the
/v1/data/system/opal/
endpoint to check if the PDP is healthy and ready (2) . *Review PDP configuration:* Several configuration settings can affect PDP performance and error rates (1) : •
PDP_OPA_CLIENT_QUERY_TIMEOUT
- defaults to 1 second for querying OPA •
PDP_OPA_CLIENT_FAILURE_THRESHOLD
- defaults to 0.1 (10% failure rate triggers health check failure) •
PDP_OPA_CLIENT_FAILURE_THRESHOLD_INTERVAL
- defaults to 60 seconds for calculating the failure threshold To help our engineers investigate this issue, could you please provide: 1. Which Workspace / Project / Env you are using 2. What calls are you performing (as SDK code or CURL) 3. Which PDP version you are running 4. Relevant logs from your PDP This information will help identify whether the issue is with your PDP configuration, network connectivity, or potentially a broader service issue.
To learn more, see the sources I considered: [[1] Configurations](https://docs.permit.io/concepts/pdp/configuration) [[2] How to detect all OPAL_DATA_CONFIG_SOURCES have been fully loaded at startup](https://github.com/permitio/opal/discussions/887)
o
The PDP is meant to be independent, it doesn't depend on our cloud service to answer queries
Further we are not seeing any issues or alerts on our side

thats what i thought, ok well noted
its just unusual we're seeing a sudent spikes in denials today, but other days we're ok

I'd recommend taking a look at the logs from the PDP, and resource allocations for it are often a prime suspect for such patterns
