The User Management screen in
Permit.io shows users within the context of a selected tenant
(1) (2) . Users in
Permit.io are nested under tenants, and each user can be associated with multiple tenants
(2) .
To view users in the User Management screen, you need to select a specific tenant first, as the new user will be created in the currently selected tenant
(1) . Each tenant is a separate, isolated unit with its own set of users, data, configurations, and permissions . If you are using multiple tenants, you need to select the relevant one to see its users .
The documentation indicates that users are contained within tenants and can only access the resources within their tenant
(2) . You can use the same user ID within multiple tenants, so a user can belong to multiple tenants .
Based on the available documentation, there isn't a mention of a global "all users across all tenants" view in the UI. The User Management page appears to be tenant-scoped, meaning you'd need to switch between tenants to see which users belong to each one
(1) (2) .
If you're encountering "ghost users" that exist but aren't showing up in your tenant view, you might want to check if they were created in a different tenant or environment. You can switch between tenants using the tenant selector in the User Management screen .
