Hi <@U04F8GPEBFY>, I'm looking into that too. It would apear that the <https://github.com/permitio/OPToggles/blob/master/src/targets/restapi.go|implementation> uses a simple HTTP PATCH with a list of users that now have the feature, as in it replaces the existing users. I may be wrong, I'm not a GoLang programmer and I am also just starting down the OPToggles rabbit hole :slightly_smiling_face:

OPAL and OPToggles appear to work together. As I understand it OPToggles uses OPAL.

Yeah, OPToggles is a layer on top of OPA+OPAL. For my implementation I don't need that extra layer, but with Unleash you would use it.

I might integrate Unleash directly with OPA, I'm going to search for an existing integration first though.

It looks like the <https://docs.getunleash.io/reference/api/legacy/unleash/admin/features-v2#enable-env|unleash API> manages the users itself, you have to pass it 3 variables, projectId, featureName and environment. I'm guessing the users are mapped using those 3, so OPAL and OPA would have to decide only if on or off

From my understanding, OPToggles is more for LaunchDarkly and other services you might be using to control features. Since our application isn't using anything like that, I don't think we need it. That's at least my interpretation of the documentation :slightly_smiling_face:

I am personally interested in an integration with something like <https://www.getunleash.io/>, where I can run it completely within our Intranet. Specifically using their <https://docs.getunleash.io/reference/sdks/go|server-side SDK> to integrate with <https://github.com/permitio/OPToggles/blob/master/src/targets/targetsync.go|OPToggles API>

We currently are more focused on other projects, but it is on our roadmap to support more feature flagging solutions, via optoggles plugins.

For sure, common requeset include adding support for more feature toggling solutions (e.g. unleash, posthog, growthbook, optimizly)
