#360 Set PACT_DO_NOT_TRACK by default Issue created by TimothyJones Checklist • Searched the issues to check that this feature hasn't been requested before • Checked the documentation to see if it is possible to do what I want already Feature description Set PACT_DO_NOT_TRACK by default, and update the message to suggest that people can un-set it. Use case As mentioned in the discussion here: #359
I think it's already pretty questionable that our tracking message is essentially "we just tracked you! you can disable this for next time if you want". That's not how consent for tracking should work.
In addition to this not being nice behaviour for users, I think it also contravenes the GDPR, which is explicit that anything that could be used in the process of identifying users must be opt-in, not opt-out. pact-foundation/pact-js-core
