Aloha! We're currently using the PactFlow starter plan. We find that after around a week at our current pace that things slow to a crawl and require us to delete all of the pacts and providers in order to get our
can-i-deploy
checks back to being functional (and not timing out). Naturally the check also gets slower as we approach the point of timing out too. Is this something that does improve or - ideally - get entirely eliminated with the paid plans? I totally understand there's going to be limited compute available for free plans, but it would be good to understand if this is a specific issue to the free plan or not 🙂 Thanks!

Yo, I don’t believe there are compute restrictions on free plans, it might be worth elaborating on your current usage to determine what could be going on. If you have a-lot of feature branches for example, deleting them once they are deleted from your VCS provider. If you are using bi-directional CT with very large OAS payloads, that could be an issue. If you have a large number of consumers or providers. You can also raise a support ticket and the team can look into your tenant and identify any anomalies.

Out of those notes I think: • We have chunky OAS' but just after a pact/provider nuke things run well enough for a few days. • We keep providers and consumers to a minimum, so we only have a total of 3 comparisons at the moment for our one consumer and three providers. • I believe we're currently deleting the pact branches via the
broker delete-branch
approach each time, but given that things eventually slow down, I'm not certain this is doing the job. Although I'm not seeing a ridiculous number of branches in the PactFlow UI when we've hit the tipping point either 🙂 Thanks for this! I'll create a support ticket. I'm sure it's probably pretty obvious what's wrong to experienced eyes 😄

Hi Kai, We’re aware of your account. Thanks for raising the support ticket, we’ll continue the discussion there. As Yousaf said, the performance issues are unrelated to the free plan and relate to your particular setup.
